Orco Bank Powers the 2025 Ride for the Roses in Support of Cancer Awareness

Orco Bank proudly served as the primary sponsor of the Ride for the Roses, a dynamic multisport event held on January 26th, 2025, in Curaçao.
This annual gathering brought the community together for an inspiring day of walking, swimming, biking, and running in support of cancer awareness and support to cancer patients and their families.

The Ride for the Roses is more than just a sporting event; it’s a powerful movement promoting healthy living while uniting people of all backgrounds to contribute to a meaningful cause. Orco Bank’s partnership reflects its dedication to strengthening community bonds and encouraging active, balanced lifestyles.

As part of its sponsorship, Orco Bank supported cancer survivors by covering their participation in the Walk event, offering them the choice of a 5KM or 8.1KM route that culminated in a celebratory finish at Mambo Beach BLVD. This initiative underscored the bank’s commitment to inclusivity and support for those impacted by cancer.

This year’s Ride for the Roses drew 40% more participants compared to 2024, all joining forces to honor resilience, hope, and unity. The event also featured Orco Bank’s “Resilience Wall,” where attendees shared heartfelt messages of encouragement for loved ones, creating a space for connection and motivation.

The event was officially kicked off by Orco Bank’s Management, including Managing Directors Mrs. Désirée Alberto–Martina and Mr. Edward Pietersz, who performed the ceremonial gunshot at the start line. “We are deeply honored to support this cause and eagerly anticipate continuing our commitment, especially as we look forward to the 20th edition next year!” said Mrs. Alberto–Martina at the start of activities early in the morning.
